Length of a pregnancy is calculated from the first day of the last normal period, that will be verified by an ultrasound. Procedures are performed on gestations beginning at 6 weeks and up to 13 weeks, 6 days. All paperwork, medical history and laboratory tests will be performed prior to the abortion procedure.
Depending upon the patient's location the abortion is either a one or two day procedure.
Once the procedure is complete, the patient will go to the recovery room for 20 minutes before being released to go home. You may bring someone to accompany you or arrange other transportation. A free follow up exam is also available three weeks after the procedure. We offer the birth control pill, the vaginal ring, the depo shot, condoms, and emergency contraception.
No food 6 hours before your appointment; you may have clear liquids.
Dress comfortably in a two piece outfit.
Plan on being at the clinic for at least 4 hours.
We offer a mild sedation, however, you must bring someone to drive.
Clients and support people need a valid ID containing their date of birth.
MINORS are required to bring a legal guardian and birth certificate unless a Judicial Bypass has been issued.
